Mediation
Illinois law requires parties in a dispute involving children to attend a minimum of 4 hours of court appointed mediation. As a Supreme Court certified Mediator*, Dustin understands the mediation process and the benefits it offers to families. Dustin is available for both court appointed and independent mediation. He prepares the legal documents necessary to end litigation within the family, saving parties time, money, and the emotional tolls of a family law dispute playing out in the courtroom.
*Mediators are certified with the Illinois Supreme Court after completing a 40-hour mediation training course following law school. As a mediator, all discussions in my presence are confidential and will never be used against either party. For this reason, after serving as a mediator, I cannot represent either party if a case goes to court.
